I haven't blogged for a few days- I have been stirring and thinking and wondering what was blog worthy. Then yesterday, a scandal hit the news that I felt deserved my comments.....Britney Spears' 16-year-old sister Jamie Lyn is pregnant! Okay, this is why I have issues with how people have reacted to it. I am not saying that a 16-year-old becoming pregnant is ever a good thing. I just don't get why people are so "shocked" when she or any other young woman gets pregant. Society takes girls from the time they are 14 and 15, gives them adult sized paychecks, cars, their own houses, free passes into adult clubs, dresses them like they are 25, and then people think its scandalous when some of them end up pregnant? Give me a break! If you want to avoid that, then quit giving them adult sized responsibilities. I am a fan of Miley Cyrus and how it seems her family is handling her fame. She gets grounded for not taking off a shirt that showed her belly and lost her allowance when she couldn't find her credit card. And that's all I have to say about that.

Now, I learned an interesting tidbit of information this morning while I was drinking my chocolate milk. Since Crayola Crayons were first invented, over 100 billion of them have been sold, and that's only Crayola brand. That's like if everyone on the planet had their own box of 16 crayons. I think that is awesome. Who, at some point in their life, hasn't gotten hours of enjoyment out of a coloring book and crayons? So, let's all take a moment and be grateful for those little sticks of colored wax we call Crayolas.
