My Two Post Day- Part 1- My Trip to the Mall for Clothes that Ended in Me Spending $85 on Books

So, the title of this blog is fairly self-explanatory. I went to the mall today, looking for a new outfit (that will come in part 2 of this blog). Well, I was walking by Waldenbooks, which is going out of business. I decided to go in and see waht was left, and let me tell you, I hit the jackpot! I got 19 books for $85. They normally would have been $140. These are the books I got:

-Lily's Crossing by Patricia Reilly Giff*
-Eggs by Jerry Spinelli
-Charlotte's Web by EB White*
-How to Eat Fried Worms by Thomas Rockwell
-Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis*
-Charlie & the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl
-Charlie & the Great Glass Elevator by Roald Dahl
-The Witches by Roald Dahl
-Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson*
-Are you There God, it's Me Margaret by Judy Blume
-Blubber by Judy Blume
-Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls
-Dear Mr. Henshaw by Beverly Cleary*
-Holes by Louis Sachar*
-Small Steps by Louis Sachar
-The Magician's Nephew by CS Lewis
-Prince Caspian by CS Lewis
-The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by CS Lewis
-The Silver Chair by CS Lewis

The books with an asterisk (*) after the author are either Newberry Medal winners or a Newberry Honor book.

Let me explain about only getting 4 of the 7 Chronicles of Narnia Books- they didn't have the other 3 and the books were only $4.80 each and I don't feel that I need to have a totally matching set of the books, so I got the 4 they had and will get the other 3 eventually.

I know these are juvenile books, but I think any good book collection needs to include these, most of which I would consider classics. I have read most of these, or at least read something by the same author. I could spend hours upon hours in a bookstore. I love books!
